Come on over for some safe fun out of the rain this Memorial Day Weekend at the Portland Puppet Museum, Saturday May 28th and Sunday May 29th from 2pm to 3pm. Join Icicle the Baby Blues Lion and Rufus the Banjo-playing Hound Dog as they present "Icicle's Rock and Roll Kid's Puppet Show". inside the Portland Puppet Museum where it's warm and dry.
Take a magical journey into the rock and roll songs of the 60's, 70's and 80's. This fun filled interactive family show features over 75 colorful puppets, that the kids and folks in the audience get to work with us.
Let's bungle in the Jungle with "LION SLEEPS TONIGHT" with a trunk just overflowing with monkeys, giraffes, and elephants. Then jump into the world of Legends as we board Noah's Ark and load the animals two by two as we present the Irish Rovers, "THE UNICORN SONG", and of course there will be Unicorns. Catch a wave in "UNDER THE SEA", featuring four-foot-tall mermaids, sea turtles, pirates , fish, and crabs. Find your inner Chi as we practice Kung Fu with our own KUNG FU MASTER, training his students in the middle of soaring Chinese six-foot sky dragons.
We finish up our journey with a colorful Caribbean Carnival of dancing monkeys and critters lead by a giant eight-foot ostrich in a celebration of "DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY" and the "MACARENA".
