The Portland Puppet Museum presents
" Legends of Ancient China".
Come journey back in time with our Panda Emperor Zing Fu, and his Empress Mei Ling . We begin with the legend of China's first Dragon, "The Jade Empress" as she transforms from a simple Princess into many colorful characters, challenging the elements while searching for the Pearl of Wisdom to become the wises woman ruler of all of China. We follow up with the " The Legend of Nian" the hairy and not so scary monster of lava and sea foam, that must be stopped from his ravenous appetite and turned to good! The show uses colorful puppets, as well as the children in the audience to take us on a magical journey into beautiful stories of courage, hope, and celebration, finishing up with the Dance of the Good Luck Guardian Lions and a parade of puppets. This extremely hands-on interactive puppet show will immerse you into the sights and sounds of Ancient China. App x. 45 Minutes in length. Family friendly ages 3 and up!
